U.S. HealthWorks, an occupational health and urgent-care subsidiary of Dignity Health, has acquired Los Angeles-based Immediate Medical Care. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Immediate Medical Care operates an occupational and urgent-care center in Los Angeles.
With the acquisition, U.S. HealthWorks, based in Valencia, Calif., now operates 224 medical and worksite clinics in 20 states around the country and has more than 3,600 employees, according to a news release.
“The team at Immediate Medical Care has established a reputation and history of providing excellent care,” U.S. HealthWorks CEO Joseph Mallas said in the release. “We are excited to extend our footprint to this part of L.A. allowing us to better serve our Southern California clients.”
Mallas was promoted from chief operating officer to president and CEO this month.
In September, the company acquired Austin, Texas-based PRO MED Urgent Care, which operates three urgent-care centers in the Austin area.
