Dr. Jeffrey Bailet has been named chairman-elect of the American Medical Group Association's board of directors for 2016.
Bailet, 59, is the president of Aurora Medical Group and executive vice president at Aurora Health Care, a 14-hospital system based in Milwaukee. He will follow Donn Sorensen as AMGA's chairman when Sorenson's term is complete, beginning in January 2017.
In October, Bailet was appointed to serve on the U.S. Government Accountability Office's new Physician-Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee. He has served as secretary of the AMGA board of directors' executive committee for the past year.
Bailet joined Aurora Health Care in 2003 and was appointed president of Aurora Medical Group in 2006.
