Florida-based Adventist Health System, which operates 44 facilities in 10 states, has named Daryl Tol as president and CEO of Florida Hospital, which represents nine Central Florida hospitals. The former head of the division, Lars Houmann, has been moved to a larger statewide role with Adventist, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reports.
The changes come a month after a settlement in which Adventist paid the U.S. government and four states, including Florida, $118.7 million for healthcare fraud involving physician referrals to hospitals. Officials said the personnel moves are unrelated to that case.
