Melissa Waddey has been promoted to senior VP of operations strategy and integration at Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health.
Waddey, 40, begins in the newly created position immediately. She'll oversee service line development, population health, enterprise project management and care integration across the for-profit company.
Most recently, Waddey served as chief of staff to Bill Carpenter, the company's chairman and CEO. She also served as VP of the company's strategic resource group, where she led healthcare reform projects and worked to improve efficiency across service lines.
Before joining LifePoint in 2010, Waddey served in a variety of leadership positions at HCA for 11 years.
