Elizabeth Dunne has been named president and CEO of Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth.
Dunne, 59, will begin her new role in November. She replaces Alan Yordy, who retired this summer after 25 years with the Catholic system.
Dunne currently serves as a community CEO for Providence Health & Services in California. She has worked at the Renton, Wash.-based Catholic system since 2011.
Before joining Providence, Dunne held executive positions at Duarte, Calif.-based City of Hope and Memorial Health Services in Fountain Valley, Calif. She also served 10 years in the U.S. Air Force on active duty and 10 years in the Reserve, retiring as a lieutenant colonel.
Jim Berend has joined USMD Holdings, an Irving, Texas-based publicly traded health system, as executive VP and CFO.
Berend, 58, replaces Carolyn Jones, who retired in May.
Before joining USMD, Berend most recently served as executive VP and CFO of Victory Healthcare, which operates surgical hospitals in Texas. Previously, he was partner in charge of the healthcare practice at Grant Thornton in Dallas, as well as at Ernst & Young's Dallas office.
