Carol Gore has been appointed chief nursing officer at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Ark.
Gore will start on Aug. 31 at the hospital, owned by Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare. She comes to St. Mary's with more than 25 years of experience working in healthcare organizations in Arkansas.
Since 2008, she has worked in several leadership positions in Northwest Health System, which is owned by Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems. During that time, she served as CNO for Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark., and administrator and CNO of Willow Creek Women's Hospital in Johnson, Ark.
Before working at Northwest, Gore was CNO for two years at Forrest City (Ark.) Medical Center, and also served as a nursing instructor at Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute.
