Baylor Scott & White Health has opened a 46-bed acute-care hospital in Marble Falls, Texas.
The 188,000-square-foot hospital opened Monday and is Marble Falls' first hospital. It has 30 medical-surgical beds, an eight-bed intensive-care unit, two operating suites and eight women's services beds for three labor, delivery and recovery rooms, and it'll also have endoscopy suites for gastroenterology and interventional cardiology.
The hospital is located next to the Marble Falls Specialty Clinic, which opened in 2013. Officials say it could be expanded to add two operating suites, four ICU beds and 30 medical-surgical beds.
Nearly 400 employees will work at the hospital, including 30 physicians. The hospital is Baylor Scott & White's second acute-care facility in the Hill Country region, joining Scott & White Hospital-Llano, as well as the Marble Falls Specialty Clinic and several clinics throughout the area.
