Henry Ford Health System is opening a new downtown Detroit medical clinic in the more than century-old Grinnell Building that's aimed at younger adults.
The Henry Ford QuickCare Clinic, or #HFQuickCare, is open to older adults and senior citizens as well, but the health system says it's designed with tech-savvy younger adults in mind. Patients can walk into the clinic starting Monday or schedule a visit online.
Patients will get text message reminders and updates on any expected delays. They'll be seen by a nurse practitioner for common illnesses such as ear infections, flu, sore throats and upper respiratory infections. When appropriate, the nurse practitioner will consult with doctors.
The building once was home to Grinnell Brothers Music House and the interior has received modern updates.
