Will Cook has been appointed as the next president and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital.
Cook, 42, will take over for John Harney, who retired at the end of June. He'll start his new role in September, joining UC from the UPMC system in Pittsburgh, where he serves as senior VP of the 13-hospital system's health services division, COO of physician services and president of UPMC Mercy.
Before UPMC, Cook held several leadership roles at Johns Hopkins Health System for five years, leading operations at Johns Hopkins International Medical Center in Singapore and serving as emergency medicine administrator at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore.
