Dr. Mark Easley has begun his new role as president of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
Easley, 49, is an associate professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. On Friday, he began his term at the 2,100-member organization.
Easley's focus will be on the organization's strategic development and efforts to improve education for orthopaedic surgeons and patients on musculoskeletal disorders of the foot and ankle, the organization said. He currently serves as one of the directors of the Duke Foot and Ankle Fellowship program.
