The University of Connecticut Health Center has promoted Ann Marie Capo to chief nursing officer and VP for quality and patient services.
Capo previously served as chief quality and patient safety officer and associate VP of clinical effectiveness and patient safety. She began her new role in June, UConn Health announced this week.
Since starting her career as a neonatal intensive-care unit nurse, Capo has worked her way up through various supervisory positions. She co-led the team that brought the NIH's General Clinical Research Center to the system, which made UConn the first NIH-funded outpatient facility in the U.S.
