Arcadia Healthcare Solutions has appointed Dr. Richard Parker as its first chief medical officer.
The company, which offers analytics software and strategic advisory services for organizations looking to engage in managed care, announced Tuesday that Parker, an internist by background, started his role in June.
Parker joined Arcadia after serving as CMO of Beth Israel Deaconess Care Organization, the accountable care organization affiliated with the Boston-based Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
A 27-year Beth Israel veteran, Parker has served as CMO of the care organization for the past 15 years. At Arcadia, Parker will help the organization's clients with the shift from fee-for-service to fee-for-value care, in addition to advising internal product and engineering teams working on Arcadia's analytics platform.
Arcadia announced in June that it had acquired Rockford, Ill.-based Sage Technologies, which made management and analytics software for managed-care businesses and accountable care organizations.
The move is expected to help the Burlington, Mass.-based company provide a more full-service software that can analyze both clinical and business data.
