Chicago-based Huron Consulting Group has hired two new managing directors in its Huron Healthcare practice.

Linda Generotti and Lynn Schneider Grennan started last week with the company. Generotti will focus on clinical operations, while Grennan will specialize in physician practice management.

Generotti, 58, comes to Huron from Siemens Healthcare, where she was a VP. Her expertise is focused on helping organizations navigate value-based reimbursement, risk-sharing and population health management, according to Huron.

Grennan, 52, has more than 20 years of experience in executive and senior management positions in healthcare organizations, with an emphasis on physician practice management. Most recently, she was senior VP and executive director of the University of Arizona Health Network's practice plan division.

    Hospitals and Health Systems

    J. Mark McLoone has been named CEO of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.

McLoone, 61, has worked in healthcare, mostly children's hospitals, for more than 30 years. He took office this month, replacing Carolyn Jackson, who left the Tenet Healthcare Corp.-owned hospital for another job.

Most recently, McLoone served as CEO of Pottstown (Pa.) Memorial Medical Center. His most recent role

at a children's hospital was as CEO of Methodist Children's Hospital in San Antonio, a position he held for eight years.

Dr. Patrick Battey will become CEO of Piedmont Atlanta Hospital early next year after serving as a co-CEO since January. The hospital is the flagship of the Piedmont Healthcare system.

Battey, 61, will assume the full CEO title after Les Donahue, 60, co-CEO and Piedmont Atlanta's president, retires at the end of the year after 37 years in the healthcare industry. Donahue has led the hospital since July 2010.

It's not the first time Battey, a vascular surgeon and chairman of the system's board, has served in a CEO role. He stepped in as interim CEO of Piedmont Healthcare when former leader R. Timothy Stack passed away in 2012. He also served in the interim before Kevin Brown was appointed in April 2013. Battey has practiced at Piedmont Atlanta since 1985.

Matthew Trunnell has been named VP and CIO at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

Trunnell has worked in life sciences IT for more than 15 years, in both academic and commercial settings. He will begin his role at the cancer center on Aug. 31.

For the past nine years, Trunnell has worked at the Broad Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, most recently serving as CIO. The institute focuses on innovative approaches to biomedical research. At Fred Hutchinson, he will oversee the organization's efforts to use informatics and information analytics to further its research and precision-medicine efforts.

    Eppell

    Insurance

Jim Eppel has been named president and CEO at UCare, a Minneapolis-based not-for-profit health plan that serves half a million beneficiaries in Minnesota and Wisconsin. He succeeds Nancy Feldman, who retired June 19.

Eppel, 59, most recently was senior VP at OptumInsight, a division of UnitedHealth Group. Previously, he was COO at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota after serving five years in executive leadership roles for the health plan's commercial markets, health management and network management areas.
