La Sharndra Barbarin named CEO of the Medical Center of Lewisville in northern Texas, and other news makers

La Sharndra Barbarin has been named CEO of the Medical Center of Lewisville, an HCA facility in northern Texas, effective July 6.

Barbarin, 42, a longtime employee of Nashville-based HCA, was promoted after serving as COO of the Medical Center of Arlington (Texas) for four years.

Barbarin started with the for-profit hospital giant 18 years ago as an administrative fellow at Las Colinas Medical Center, Irving, Texas, and quickly worked her way up the corporate ladder. She was COO at Medical Center of McKinney (Texas) for nine years before becoming COO of Medical Center of Arlington in 2011.

Pamela Scagliarini has been promoted to COO at Bridgeport (Conn.) Hospital and senior VP of Yale New Haven Health System. She replaces Norman Roth, who recently was named president and CEO at Greenwich (Conn.) Hospital, also part of Yale New Haven.

Scagliarini, 45, who has been with the health system for more than 20 years, most recently was interim senior VP of operations at Bridgeport Hospital. She previously was president of supply-chain management for the system.

Michael McAnder has been named CFO at Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare effective July 13. He will replace Charlie Hall.

For the past six years, McAnder, 55, has served as senior VP of financial operations at integrated health giant Kaiser Permanente, Oakland, Calif.

Before joining Kaiser, McAnder held finance positions at Allina Hospitals and Clinics in Minneapolis, Banner Health in Phoenix and Lutheran Healthcare Network in Mesa, Ariz. LifePoint Health, Brentwood, Tenn., has promoted three of its senior leaders to new positions.

Pam Belcher is now senior VP of human resources and talent management, after working as the VP of organizational development and recruitment for the past seven years. Belcher will focus on improving the chain's compensation and benefit programs, employee relations, succession planning and performance management, LifePoint said.

Before joining LifePoint, Belcher was VP of consulting and client development for Right Management Consultants, also in Brentwood.

Reggie Hill, the company's chief compliance officer since 2013, has been promoted to senior VP and chief compliance and policy officer. Before joining LifePoint, he was an attorney at Nashville-based Waller Lansden, Dortch & Davis for more than 30 years.

Also, Dr. Christopher Rehm is now the company's chief medical informatics officer, responsible for implementing clinical applications and other technologies focused on analytics. He was VP of medical informatics for the past two years. Before joining LifePoint, Rehm was chief medical officer and VP of business development for Aionex, a Goodlettsville, Tenn.-based care-management software developer.

Dr. Matthew Wayne has been named CMO of Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health's physician group and NewHealth Collaborative, the system's accountable care organization.

Wayne, 48, joins Summa after serving as CMO of the CommuniCare Family of Cos., a Blue Ash, Ohio-based post-acute-care provider.
