Dr. Matthew Wayne has been named CMO of Akron, Ohio-based Summa Health's physician group and NewHealth Collaborative, the system's accountable care organization.
Wayne, 48, began his new role at Summa Physicians and NewHealth Collaborative on Monday. He joins Summa after serving as CMO of the CommuniCare Family of Companies, a Blue Ash, Ohio-based provider of post-acute care.
Before working at CommuniCare, Wayne worked in various medical director roles at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, also serving as a faculty member in the hospital's Center for Geriatric Medicine.
Wayne is a past president of the American Medical Directors Association - The Society for Post-Acute and Long Term Care Medicine.
