Englewood, Colo.-based Centura Health and Stanton County Hospital, Johnson City, Kan., have signed an affiliation agreement expected to allow the hospital to expand clinical services.
Stanton County is Centura's fourth affiliate in Kansas and the 11th independent affiliate to join its network. The hospital is a publicly owned facility, while Centura is a 15-hospital system jointly sponsored by Englewood-based Catholic Health Initiatives and Adventist Health System in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
Leadership from St. Catherine Hospital, a Centura facility in Garden City, Kan., will work with Stanton County on taming costs related to its capital expenditures and supply chain, among other expenses, according to a news release. Physicians from both organizations are expected to share clinical best practices. Stanton is licensed for 18 acute-care beds and has 25 long-term-care beds, according to its website.
