This is the final week to submit entries for Modern Healthcare's eighth annual Best Places to Work in Healthcare. The deadline is end of the day June 12.
The recognition program, sponsored by the Studer Group, is designed to identify and recognize the top workplaces in healthcare, those that go above and beyond to support their employees, empowering them to provide patients and other customers with the best possible care and services.
On behalf of Modern Healthcare, the Best Companies Group, a Harrisburg, Pa.-based firm that administers a variety of “best places to work” programs around the country, will conduct two surveys of healthcare companies that volunteer to participate.
The first is a questionnaire for a participating employer; the second is a satisfaction survey of a company's employees.
The program is open to all healthcare organizations and companies in all sectors of the industry with a minimum of 25 full-time employees.
The program is free for companies and organizations that complete the process electronically. Participating healthcare organizations and companies will receive a free summary report. Participants also will be able to buy a full assessment feedback report from the Best Companies Group.
In mid-August, Modern Healthcare will announce the names, in alphabetical order, of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
A special supplement, including the overall ranking of the 100 Best Places to Work, will be published in the Oct. 19 issue of Modern Healthcare. The winners also will be ranked by company size: small, medium and large. Again this year, companies will be ranked on two lists, one in the category of providers/payers, and the other in the category of suppliers.
