Bill Graham has been promoted to president of Dignity Health Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City, Calif.
Graham, previously a VP at the hospital, replaces Glenna Vaskelis, who retired in March after leading the 208-bed facility for 19 years. His appointment is effective immediately.
Before the promotion, Graham served as the hospital's VP of physician and business development since 2001. In 2011, he was also appointed chief strategy officer for Dignity's Bay Area Service Area.
Graham has helped secure funding and infrastructure for projects at Sequoia, including its Heart and Vascular Institute and Birth Center. He's also co-led development of a clinically integrated physician network for the hospital.
San Francisco-based Dignity recently announced that it will seek a state health insurance license that will allow it to accept the full financial risk for patients' medical care.
