Sue Shugart has been appointed COO of Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, S.C., a part of Capella Healthcare.
Shugart, 49, started in her new role in March. She replaced David Pryor, who left the job because of family commitments.
Before coming to Carolina Pines, Shugart served as chief administrative officer at Baptist Easley (S.C.) Hospital. She also served as COO of Clarendon Health System in Manning, S.C.
