Mark Clare has been named principal adviser for strategic initiatives at Purdue Healthcare Advisors in West Lafayette, Ind.
Clare, 56, started working at the not-for-profit consulting group this month, taking the lead of performance improvement offerings for the firm, which is affiliated with Purdue University. He's also responsible for strategic planning and service development.
Before joining Purdue Healthcare Advisors, Clare worked as VP of operational excellence and informatics at Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Parkview Health and VP of lean transformation at Ball Memorial Hospital In Muncie, Ind. He has also served as an independent consultant to healthcare vendors and hospitals on projects involving patient-flow management and operational decisionmaking.
Clare also teaches medical informatics, predictive analytics and healthcare policy as an adjunct professor at Northwestern University.
