Wes Wright, senior VP and CIO at Seattle Children's Hospital, has been named chief technology officer at Sutter Health, Sacramento, Calif.
Wright has served for nearly seven years in health information technology leadership positions at Seattle Children's, first as VP and CTO, and, starting in August 2012, as senior VP and CIO.
Wright previously worked in information services for Scripps Health. A former major in the U.S. Air Force, he served as CIO of the Pacific region of the Air Force Medical Service. Wright has a bachelor's degree in business and management from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the University of New Mexico. He will start at Sutter on March 16.
