Houston, TX - Top officials from three of Houston's leading healthcare institutions will headline Modern Healthcare's upcoming March 3, 2015 Issue Briefing on population health management. The Houston event is the first in this year's multi-city series that is exploring how local healthcare markets are addressing this crucial issue.
Christopher Lloyd, CEO of Memorial Hermann Physician Network and Memorial Hermann ACO; Dr. Julia Andrieni, Vice President, Clinical Integration and Primary Care, Houston Methodist; and Dr. Robert Morrow, Chief Medical Officer, Houston Region, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, will discuss a range of topics related to population health management, including the impact of new payment models that emphasize value, the role of health information technology, and the progress being made by Houston hospitals, physicians and insurers.
“At its core, healthcare is local and personal,” said Fawn Lopez, Vice President and Publisher of Modern Healthcare. “Providers that are able to address healthcare needs across the entire population they serve will be better positioned to improve both clinical and financial outcomes.”
Modern Healthcare delivers the same high-level audience at their events as they do with the readership of their print and digital editorial products. The Modern Healthcare Issue Briefings were designed with the executive audience in mind, leaders who seek out critical information and insight. The successful breakfast series was launched in 2014 with events in Dallas, Chicago and Boston. In addition to the Houston breakfast in 2015, Modern Healthcare will continue the conversation in Detroit, Michigan on May 7.
“Attendees value that our Issue Briefings are strong, unfiltered discussions,” said Merrill Goozner, editor of Modern Healthcare. “They're able to walk away with the latest insights and strategies pertaining to the most important, timely issues facing the business of healthcare.”
