Wellesley, Mass.-based Harvard Pilgrim Health Care has acquired health behavior coaching company TrestleTree through a subsidiary.
Fayetteville, Ark.-based TrestleTree offers services such as health-risk assessments, smoking cessation, weight management, stress management and gap analysis in care. The company, which says that its programs help lower healthcare costs, was acquired by Health Plans Inc., a Harvard Pilgrim subsidiary.
TrestleTree's programs will become a part of the integrated care-management solution offered by Harvard Pilgrim and Health Plans Inc. The company's disease-management programs are accredited by the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, and the firm has developed its own software to track participant progress.
Arkansas Accountable Care and Fort Smith Physician's Alliance, two accountable care organizations, also have a partnership with TrestleTree.
