Suffern, N.Y.-based Bon Secours Charity Health System and Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., are considering a joint venture.
The two are in exclusive discussions to explore a relationship in which Westchester Medical Center would be the majority co-member in the venture, which would operate both organizations. Westchester Medical Center would be responsible for managing the venture.
Westchester Medical Center, a regional academic medical center, has 895 beds on its campus. Bon Secours, a division of Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System, includes three hospitals, a home health agency, two long-term-care facilities and an assisted-living facility. The system's medical group includes over 80 primary-care physicians and specialists.
If a deal is agreed upon, Bon Secours would remain a Catholic-affiliated system, according to a news release.
