Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health recently appointed a new chief clinical officer, as well as its first chief population health officer.
Dr. Mark Froimson, 54, has been chosen as CCO and Dr. Barbara Walters, 62, as CPHO, and they both will also become executive VPs. On Dec. 1, Froimson and Walters took over the responsibilities of retiring Chief Clinical Officer P. Terrence O'Rourke, who has been in the CCO role since 2008.
Froimson, an orthopedic surgeon, comes to Trinity Health after serving as president of Cleveland Clinic's Euclid (Ohio) Hospital. He has practiced medicine in the Cleveland Clinic system as well as at the Cleveland-based Mount Sinai Medical Center. He's also a member of the CMS National Resource Use Committee.
