Truven Health Analytics, Ann Arbor, Mich., has completed the acquisition of Heartbeat Experts, a New York-based global provider of market data, analytics, software and services to the health and financial services industries for undisclosed terms. Both are privately held companies.
“The acquisition of Heartbeat Experts in combination with our existing capabilities enables us to provide a very powerful solutions set to life sciences companies looking to demonstrate the value of new drugs and medical devices to the right clinical and economic decisionmakers,” Truven CEO Mike Boswood said in a news release.
In addition to in the U.S., Heartbeat Experts has offices in Europe, Latin America, Russia, India, China and Korea.
In April, Truven acquired Simpler Consulting, a management consulting firm specializing in Lean process, also for undisclosed terms.
Truven supplies Modern Healthcare with data and analyses for its Truven 100 Top Hospitals lists and related publications.
