Dr. J. Stephen Jones has been promoted to president of Cleveland Clinic Regional Hospitals and Family Health Centers, effective in December.
Jones, 54, was previously VP of regional medical operations for the same division. He will succeed Dr. Brian Donley, who has been promoted to Cleveland Clinic chief of staff.
In his new role, Jones will be responsible for Cleveland Clinic's eight community hospitals, the upcoming Avon Hospital—which is expected to open in 2016—and 16 family health centers in northeast Ohio.
Before his most recent job as VP, Jones was chief of surgical operations for the regional division, a position he has also held at the Clinic's Fairview Hospital. His clinical background is in urology.
