The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT within HHS announced on Tuesday several changes to its advisory committees.
The office has two committees advising it: The policy committee, which appointed Dr. Anjum Khurshid as a member; and the standards committee, which renewed the terms of Dr. Floyd Eisenberg, Leslie Hall and Arien Malec.
Khurshid is now the public health representative on the committee. He currently serves as senior adviser for the Louisiana Public Health Institute and also is a clinical assistant professor at Tulane University School of Medicine.
Eisenberg is a consultant, and serves as the quality management representative on the standards committee. Hall is a consumer representative, and works as senior vice president of policy for not-for-profit health consumer education firm Healthwise. Malec is serving as electronic exchange representative and is vice president of data platform and acquisition tools with McKesson connectivity subsidiary Relay Health.
