Revenue increased 7.2% at Chicago-based Rush University Medical Center from fiscal 2013 to 2014, thanks to strong outpatient and physician practice plan revenue and increased volume in several service lines, the system reported in audited financial results for its latest fiscal year released Tuesday.
The hospital ended its fiscal year in June with a $132.4 million surplus, up 19.3% from fiscal 2013. Rush reported a very slight uptick in admissions, while the average patients' stay decreased. The audited figures confirm previously reported financial results released in August.
