Frank Nask will retire as president and CEO of Broward Health, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., in March, the company has announced.
Nask, 66, has served as president and CEO of the five-hospital, not-for-profit community health system since 2008. The North Broward Hospital District board of commissioners, which oversees the health system, will look for a successor over the next few months.
Before assuming the position of CEO, Nask served as the organization's CFO, handling Broward Health's coffers during the recent financial crisis. During his tenure as CEO, he oversaw the expansion of the organization's graduate medical education program to more than 100 residents and led several major construction projects throughout the system.
