Congress deserves share of blame for Ebola crisis

Regarding “Emory hospital to care for second Dallas health worker with Ebola”:

It would be helpful if the truth were fully told regarding this case.

This nurse reported she was in contact with the Liberian man who died. She was self-monitoring for symptoms and when she developed a fever she admitted herself immediately. She was without symptoms during the flight and only began showing same after she was home.

Conspiracy theorists continue to disbelieve anything they are told about the transmission of this virus. It is known and published regarding the transmission vector but that will never satisfy this fringe element.

Instead look toward your Congress, which has slashed NIH and CDC budgets by over $1 billion. A vaccine has been imminent for several years, but our short-sighted representatives think only to the next news cycle. It is disgraceful.
