The state of Ohio is recommending that hospitals conduct drills this week to practice how they'd interact with a potential Ebola patient and use protective equipment.
The health department's recommendation Thursday comes as seven people are under voluntary quarantine in northeast Ohio. Officials say those people had contact with a Texas nurse who was diagnosed with Ebola shortly after visiting family near the Akron area last weekend.
The nurse, 29-year old Amber Vinson, flew Monday from Cleveland to Dallas.
Vinson had treated the Liberian man who died of the disease in Dallas. Summit County health officials say Vinson limited her movements in Ohio but did visit a retail store and meet friends.
Health officials say Vinson didn't show symptoms in Ohio. People infected with Ebola aren't considered contagious until they have symptoms.
