He is being evaluated and would be tested for the virus if appropriate, Chief Quality Officer Dr. Ken Shands said in a news conference in front of the the hospital, according to a Boston Globe report.
The report comes the same day Dallas health authorities reported what appears to be the first U.S. transmission of the disease. A nurse who helped care for Thomas Eric Duncan at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas has tested positive for the Ebola. CDC Director Dr. Thomas Frieden said Sunday that there was a breach in protocol at some point during Duncan's treatment.
Duncan, who traveled to Dallas from Liberia in late September, died from the disease at Texas Heath Presbyterian on Oct. 8.
