Chicago-based Rise Health has three products: Ascend Enterprise Platform, which aggregates payer, EHR and other clinical information; Stratus, a data visualization tool; and Cirrus, which provides clinical-decision-support tools to manage patient relationships.
The firm has collaborated with Blue Cross and Blue Shield Tennessee, a collaboration which it touted at America's Health Insurance Plans' November 2013 Operations and Technology Forum, for a successful rollout of a medical home. It showed the “importance of leveraging technology that supports primary-care providers in quarterbacking a process that includes a variety of activity outside their sphere of control,” Rise Health's CEO, Dr. Mark Crockett, said at the time.
The deal allows Best Doctors to diversify into another area of healthcare technology. “Together, we will be able to help employers, workers' compensation clients, payers and providers transform the quality of healthcare they provide while reducing costs,” said David Seligman, chairman and CEO of Best Doctors.
