If you need a new liver, your odds of getting one depend a lot on where you live. That's because the country is divided into 11 regions and some regions have more livers for transplant than others. The United Network for Organ Sharing, which manages the nation's organ transplant system, has assembled a committee to come up with some ideas for making the system fairer.
