Dr. Eric Lunn will take the helm of Altru Health System in Grand Forks, N.D., as president next year.
Lunn, 55, serves as Altru’s chief medical officer and will assume the new role Jan. 1. Earlier this year, Dr. Casey Ryan said he would step down as president by the end of this year.
Lunn, a pediatrician, has been with Altru for 27 years. He also is an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
In a news release, Lunn said he is excited to lead the 269-bed system. “Altru Health System is a very stable organization, and yet, we need to continue to change and evolve in the way we care for patients,” he said. “We have to do more with less. We must continue to improve the quality of our patient experience in our quest to deliver world-class care.”
