Telehealth startup Doctor on Demand has raised $21 million in its latest round of funding, the company announced Wednesday. The service allows customers to see board-certified physicians through a video visit, at $40 per consultation.
The funding comes bundled with other important news for the firm. Comcast is now a customer, and will fully subsidize its employees' visits through certain insurance plans. The firm is also rolling out an option for desktop users: previous video physician visits were mobile-only; now, patients can access a video visit through the firm's website.
