San Diego hospital updates procedures to prevent data breaches

Administrators at Rady Children's Hospital took steps to prevent another patient data breach, the acting president of the San Diego hospital told a City Council committee this week. In June, an unidentified hospital employee mistakenly attached a document containing information on thousands of patients to an e-mail sent to four job applicants, the second such incident at the hospital.
