KentuckyOne Health has selected Randy Combs, 57, as its new CFO, effective this month.
Combs joins KentuckyOne, a Louisville-based subsidiary of Catholic Health Initiatives, from Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy Health. Combs and two other top Mercy finance executives were let go in February for unspecified reasons, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.
Combs has more than 35 years of healthcare experience, having served 22 of those years as a CFO of a hospital or health system. He replaces Melvin Alexander, who left the organization last year.
“As we continue to make positive progress to meet our financial goals, Randy’s expertise and leadership will be very valuable,” KentuckyOne CEO Ruth Brinkley said in a news release. “His experience with both faith-based systems and academic systems makes him uniquely qualified for our organization.”
