A unit of Hewlett-Packard Co. has won a six-year extension of its contract to provide enrollment, claims processing and other outsourced information technology services to the Delaware Medicaid program, the company has announced.

HP Enterprise Services said the $147 million contract with the state Department of Health and Social Services’ Division of Medicaid and Medical Assistance also will enable providers to receive prior authorizations, check eligibility and submit claims online through a Web-based portal.
In addition, HP will host the application and provide maintenance and disaster recovery services, the statement said.
