Consulting firm KPMG is acquiring Cincinnati-based Zanett Commercial Solutions, a health IT consulting firm that says it serves 100 healthcare providers.
Zanett's consulting business includes working with providers to meet electronic health-record meaningful-use goals and more administrative functions, such as revenue-cycle management. According to its website, Zanett also offers a number of other services, such as ICD-10 readiness.
“This acquisition will allow KPMG to deliver leading healthcare technology solutions to enhance patient care and outcomes that accelerate the path to meaningful use of electronic health records,” according to the announcement.
Zanett, founded in 1992, says on its website that it is a “$50+ million technology services industry leader.” The firm is based in Cincinnati and has offices in Jacksonville, Fla., and Indianapolis.
The deal closed Friday, though it wasn't announced until Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
