Healthgrades, a healthcare provider ratings organization headquartered in Denver, has named Jeff Surges its first president, effective immediately.
Surges, 46, will oversee Healthgrades' day-to-day operations and work alongside CEO Roger Holstein. Previously, Surges was executive chairman of Strategic Health Services and CEO of Merge Healthcare.
“The healthcare system is undergoing enormous changes,” Surges said in a news release. “With more than 1 million visitors a day to the Healthgrades site and with its unique business intelligence platform, I believe Healthgrades is well-positioned to help consumers, physicians and hospitals manage this transformation.”
Healthgrades is best known for providing data about physicians and hospitals and several awards, including America's Best Hospitals.
