St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, N.D., plans to construct a $19 million medical plaza roughly 110 miles north in Minot, N.D.
The two-story building will include 40 primary-care and 20 specialty-care exam rooms, an ambulatory surgery center, imaging services, physical therapy, lab services and a pharmacy. It will replace the smaller medical clinic that St. Alexius already operates in Minot, St. Alexius spokeswoman Julie Skaret said, adding that patient demand in the market spurred the decision.
Trinity Health System is the dominant provider in Minot.
Groundbreaking is set for late June, with opening expected in summer 2015.
