Centura Health signs management deal with Middle Park

Centura Health, a 15-hospital network jointly sponsored by Catholic Health Initiatives and the Adventist Health System, has deepened its relationship with Middle Park Medical Center by entering into a management agreement effective June 1.

Middle Park, a 19-bed critical access hospital with campuses in Kremmling and Granby, Colo., is one of eight independent rural hospitals in Colorado and Kansas that has an affiliation agreement with Centura. It is the first to enter into a management agreement with the Englewood, Colo.-based system.

The agreement calls for the Kremmling Memorial Hospital District board of directors to maintain its governance authority and fiduciary responsibility, while a Centura-employed CEO will manage and lead daily activities. The CEO will work with the board to identify areas where more clinical services, education and resources are needed, according to a news release.

The existing affiliation agreement has already led to expansion of cardiac, stroke, spine, oncology and trauma services at both Middle Park facilities, according to the release.
