Press Ganey, which works with providers on patient feedback and operational issues, is purchasing health technology firm Dynamic Clinical Solutions. The acquisition will bolster Press Ganey's ability to collect data reported directly by patients.
South Bend, Ind.-based Press Ganey works with more than 10,000 healthcare companies, including half of all hospitals nationwide, according to its website.
This latest deal is Press Ganey's second of the year in the patient information area. In January, it announced the acquisition of On the Spot Systems, a company that enables patients to provide feedback to providers.
Dynamic Clinical Solutions was founded in 2004 in Hanover, N.H. Its flagship product, Integrated Survey Solutions, provides a means for patients to collect medical data and transmit it to providers.
“Press Ganey has long respected the progressive efforts of DCS to capture the patients' perspectives as they engage in their care,” Patrick Ryan, Press Ganey's CEO, said in a statement announcing the deal. “As we considered expanding our solutions to include patient-reported outcomes, it was clear that DCS offered the most comprehensive approach to measure and interpret patient-reported data.”
No financial terms were released.
