McLaren Health Care Corp. promoted Mark O'Halla, one of its hospital executives, to the role of executive VP and COO of the Flint, Mich.-based system.
O'Halla, 55, who has nearly 30 years of healthcare experience, has been president and CEO of McLaren Macomb in Clemens, Mich., since 2006. A search is underway for his replacement.
“During the past several years, McLaren Macomb has consistently been among McLaren's top-performing entities,” McLaren Health Care President and CEO Phil Incarnati said in a release. “Equally important is the respect Mark has earned from other members of the McLaren management team. He understands our company's culture, and his dedication and work ethic exemplify our mission of delivering the best value in healthcare as defined by quality outcomes and cost.”
In his new system leadership position, effective April 21, O'Halla's responsibilities will include oversight of all McLaren Health Care's hospital and physician network operations and the development of goals related to quality outcomes, patient experience and financial performance. He is also expected to serve as a liaison between the system, community, public and governmental organizations.
