Banner Health, Phoenix, named Jeffrey Nardoci to the newly created role of senior VP and chief strategy and marketing officer, effective April 14.
Nardoci, 53, joined the health system from publicly-traded Solta Medical, a maker of medical devices for aesthetic applications, where he served since 2009 as corporate officer, VP of worldwide marketing and general manager of surgical specialties. He previously held executive positions with Bausch & Lomb, Nabisco and Xerox Corp.

Peter Fine, Banner Health president and CEO, said in a news release. “As the healthcare industry transforms to deliver better care and enhanced service for a lower cost, consumer choice will make the difference between organizations that are highly successful and those that aren't.”
Nardoci will oversee Banner vice presidents in branding, public relations, service excellence, and strategy and planning. The senior management position is necessary, according to a release from the system, because of Banner Health's recent growth in size and services. The not-for-profit healthcare system includes 23 acute-care hospitals across seven states, the Banner Health Network, Banner Health Centers and Clinics, and Banner Medical Group.
