Previously: He served as the executive director for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and as a policy adviser to then-Colorado Gov. Roy Romer. He was also formerly assistant general counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Medical Security.
Wants to: Maintain the journal's focus on peer-reviewed studies and original reporting while expanding its reach. “I think there are many communities outside of the core health policy community that are interested in what is in the journal.”
Knows he's up against: Changing business models for print publications and academic journals.
