Maine Gov. Paul LePage is ratcheting up the rhetoric on Medicaid expansion, describing it as "sinful."
LePage made the remark in a visit to Kennebunk, Maine, on Friday, a day after trading barbs with the Democratic leadership, saying they "don't know what they're doing" and "don't care about Maine."
House Speaker Mark Eves responded that "life-saving health care is not sinful." He also said LePage's "bad policies and erratic behavior," not Democrats, were the problem.
