Rand Strobel is now regional chief information officer for Catholic Health Initiatives Region Five, a division that includes Tacoma, Wash.-based Franciscan Health System.
Strobel started in the position Jan. 21 after most recently serving as VP and CIO for Valley Medical Center, Renton, Wash. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare information technology.
“Rand Strobel has the knowledge and IT experience to help us move forward into this new age of electronic records management,” Franciscan Health System CEO Joseph Wilczek said in a news release. “His expertise in the Epic enterprise suite of applications will help us ensure that we continue to provide our patients the highest quality of care.”
